Iran and Russia have agreed to increase bilateral trade and economic relations

Almaty. August 6. Silkroadnews - Iran and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding between the two governments for a period of five years, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed yesterday in Moscow by Minister of Energy of RF Alexander Novak and Oil Minister of Iran Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, who are also co-chairs of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
The document envisages the expansion of trade and economic cooperation in several areas, particularly in the fields of construction and reconstruction of generating capacity, the development of grid infrastructure, oil and gas industry, as well as the supply of machinery, equipment, consumer goods and agricultural products, says the site the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation .
The next meeting of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation is planned in Tehran on September 9-10 this year. It is expected to discuss concrete steps for the implementation of development plans, trade between the two countries.
