Tehran. September 9. Silkroadnews - Iran and Russia intend to expand bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, in spite of the sanctions imposed by the West, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
According to Minister of Energy Alexander Novak after a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hamid Chitchiyan in Tehran, imposed by Western States sanctions against the Russian Federation do not affect the country's cooperation with Iran, where Russia is now stepping up cooperation in the energy sphere.
Russian Minister of Energy said that we are talking about projects in the power, oil and gas sector, as well as in the field of development cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.
As recalled by the agency, the Iranian capital hosts the 11th meeting of the permanent Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
