Iran and Russia to build a thermal power plant in Bandar Abbas

Almaty. October 26. Silkroadnews – Iran and Russia will hold a ceremony of the first stone laying of thermal power plant (TPP) in Bandar Abbas, IrTAG writes.

“The ceremony of the first stone laying of four units of the Bandar Abbas power plant, which will be constructed by the Russian company “Technopromexport” together with the Iranian partners, will take place soon. The units’ capacity is 350 and 400 MW with the total output of 1400 MW”, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei said.

Earlier it was reported that 2.2-billion euro of the state credit granted by Russia will, among other things, also be directed to finance the construction of thermal power plant in Bandar Abbas.

The station will be located near the city of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province.
