Iran and Tajikistan agreed on trade and economic cooperation

Tehran. September 4. Silkroadnews - Iran and Tajikistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of trade and economic cooperation, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
"The document was signed by the Minister of Energy of Iran Hamid Chitchiyan and Minister of Energy and Water of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonali Usmonzoda as the results of the 10th meeting of the joint Iranian-Tajik commission for trade and economic cooperation, which ended in Dushanbe", - says the publication.
The memorandum noted the willingness of the parties to intensify cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in the field of energy, transport and transportation, communications, agriculture, science, education and culture.
According to one of the paragraphs of the memorandum, Iran is ready to export to Tajikistan engineering services and participate in the construction in the country refineries and petrochemical plants. The memorandum also contains a paragraph, according to which Iran and Tajikistan will cooperate in the exchange of power between the three countries - Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
In addition, Iranian Energy Minister held a series of meetings where the parties have confirmed the desire of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations in the field of economy and culture.
