Iran and Turkey have agreed to build a new highway

Almaty. August 20. Silkroadnews - Iran and Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding for the joint construction of a highway Bozorgon-Tabriz, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
This document was signed by the official representative of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Planning of Iran and CEO of Turkish construction company Bergiz Insaat AS at an official ceremony attended by the Governor of the province of East Azerbaijan Ismail Dzhabbarzade, Consul of Turkey in Tabriz Guven Begec, as well as a number of other officials of the two countries .
Under the project, the construction of six-lane highway Bozorgon-Tabriz, 255 km long, is to be completed over the next four years. Four months allotted to Turkish company to conduct all assessment work and provide the final estimate of the project.
It is noted that the financing of 65% of the cost of the project will be carried out by Bergiz Insaat AS, the remaining 35% plan will be provided by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Planning of Iran.
Worth noting that the customs zone Bozorgon-Dogubeyazıt on Iranian-Turkish border is one of the busiest crossing points in terms of passenger and freight traffic, and the completion of a new highway should contribute to the further growth of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
