Iran and Venezuela have agreed to coordinate actions to stabilize oil prices

Almaty. January 12. Silkroadnews - Tehran and Caracas will coordinate joint actions in order to prevent a further fall in world oil prices, reported the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Monday.
The agreement was reached by the two heads of states on the basis of a one-day visit of the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro in Tehran on Saturday.
During the meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that "the sudden fluctuations in oil prices adversely affect the stability of the world markets as a whole".
"Therefore, we should try to keep the balance of the price of oil", - he said.
In this case, the Iranian leader has expressed concern about the situation today around the world oil prices, stressing that closer cooperation of the participating countries, OPEC will successfully confront the "conspiracy on the part of some superpowers" and return the oil quotations in 2015 to "acceptable level".
Meanwhile, the head of Iran stressed that both countries share similar views on a range of international and regional issues, and called for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties within the framework of international organizations such as the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.
"Cooperation between Tehran and Caracas within these organizations would benefit the Middle East and Latin America, promoting security and development in the international arena," - said H.Ruhani.
According to him, the development of relations with Latin American countries, including Venezuela, is one of the priorities of the foreign policy leadership of the Islamic Republic.
At the same time H.Ruhani said his country's readiness to export Iranian goods and services to Venezuela, expressing hope for the development of relations in various areas of bilateral cooperation, including in the field of trade and investment, engineering services, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding and tourism.
The head of the Latin American states, in turn, expressed his satisfaction with the close level of cooperation between Iran and Venezuela, and assured him that Caracas is determined to continue efforts to deepen the multifaceted ties with the Islamic Republic, both in the political and economic spheres.
However N.Maduro expressed hope that this visit will contribute to raising the Iran-Venezuela relations to a new level.
