Almaty. November 11. Silkroadnews - Tehran called on Doha for closer cooperation in the energy sector in order to stabilize the rapidly falling oil prices in the world, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Tuesday.
Such an appeal is contained in the message of the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani to the Emir of Qatar - Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
In particular, the document, conveyed the Qatar meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Bijanov Namdar Zangane, indicated to the concerns of the Iranian side in relation to the current market conditions in recent times of the world price for oil. Thus it is hoped that the coordinated actions of Iran and Qatar in the energy market could have a positive impact on the basic principles of pricing policy in this area.
However, as stressed at the meeting Tamim al-Thani, his country was ready to cooperate with Iran in all areas of bilateral cooperation, including the energy sector, as the Islamic Republic plays a very important role in the region.
According to analysts, Tehran recently has made significant efforts to prevent further fall in world oil quotations. So, in September of this year, the president of Iran addressed to the oil-exporting countries of OPEC with an appeal to reduce oil production in order to keep oil prices from further falling.
