Iran continues to develop its peaceful nuclear energy

Almaty. January 27. Silkroadnews - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the country intends to "continue to implement the introduction of nuclear technology to develop its peaceful nuclear energy", reports the Russian news agency "Tass."
According to him, the Iranian nuclear issue "lies solely in the political arena", and "it requires political will on both sides", leading the negotiations on this issue.
"We, of course, is the desire as quickly as possible to deal with this problem", - said H.Ruhani during a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Rui Machete.
The President reiterated that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful.
Referring to the progress of talks between Iran and the "Six" (the five permanent Security Council members and Germany), as well as the attempts of the US Congress to approve a new round of sanctions against Iran, the president noted that "the pressure on Iran is pointless".
"The pressure and sanctions - a double-edged sword that is harmful to both sides" ,- he said.
