Iran expects to receive two tranches of previously frozen $ 4.2 billion of bank assets

Tehran. June 25. Silkroadnews - Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) is awaiting to receive the next part of their funds that were blocked in foreign bank accounts as a consequence of economic sanctions against Tehran, the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
On Tuesday, Deputy  Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbos Arakchi said that the sixth and seventh installment of $ 4.2 billion of frozen assets will soon be transferred to Iran from India. This became possible after reaching an agreement on the Iranian nuclear program at the meeting of government of Iran and "six" of international mediators in November last year. .
"The process of obtaining the trenches from India is underway and the payments themselves will be implemented soon," - said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
