Iran fulfills the conditions of the framework agreement on its nuclear program - IAEA
Almaty. August 21. Silkroadnews - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed its commitment to the interim agreement in Tehran on Iran's nuclear program, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
In its monthly report, which was published on Wednesday, the IAEA indicates Tehran to perform all of its obligations under the framework agreement reached by Iran and "six" of international mediators in November last year.
In particular, the report notes that the Islamic Republic started production of fuel using 3.5 kg of uranium oxide of the country's total reserves of uranium, enriched to 20% in the amount of 196 kg. At the same time, Iran continues to process the rest of the depletion of these reserves to 5%, said the report.
Meanwhile, a few days earlier, IAEA General Director Yukiya Amano, who visited Tehran on August 17 to negotiate on this issue with the leadership of the country, expressed hope that the parties will be able to make significant progress already in the coming week.
As previously reported, there is a possibility of consultation on this subject between the participants in the negotiating process on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, which will be held in New York on September 16 this year.
