Iran has agreed to support oil price at around $50-60
Almaty. September 9. Silkroadnews – This Friday in Paris Algerian oil minister Noureddine Bouterfa will discuss the crude prices with Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih and OPEC's Secretary General Mohammed Barkindo.
«Algeria's energy minister will meet his Saudi counterpart and OPEC's secretary-general in Paris on Friday to discuss Algeria's proposal to set the oil prices at $50-60 per barrel», Trend reports with reference to the Algerian official.
According to the source, the Algerian authorities had obtained Iran's agreement regarding this proposal.
The OPEC countries are planning to hold an informal meeting on the sidelines of the XV International Energy Forum to be hosted by Algeria on September 26-28. At this meeting OPEC are expected to revive talks for a global deal on oil production and freezing with both OPEC and non-OPEC countries.
