Almaty. July 21. Silkroadnews - Iran has completed the elimination of highly enriched uranium, reported the British news portal BBC News.
"Iran has translated all the available HEU, practically suitable for nuclear weapons, to the safer forms. The process of transformation of 20% enriched uranium fuel has been agreed with Iran in November last year. New Report of International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that Iran complies with all other agreements"- said in a statement on Monday.
It is noted that in response, United States promised access to $2.8 billion of frozen Iranian assets.
As reported, in November 2013 between Iran and the "International Six" (Russia, USA, China, Germany, France and the UK), had been signed an interim agreement in Geneva, which entered into force in January 2014. Under the agreement, Iran agreed partially to freeze its nuclear program in exchange for economic sanctions relief.
