Iran has increased its oil production by 0.5 million barrels per day

Almaty. January 19. Silkroadnews - The Iranian government has approved the decree on increase of oil production in the country by 500 thousand barrels a day, Reuters informs.
“Iran is able to increase production by 500 thousand barrels a day after the lifting of international sanctions. The corresponding decree was signed today", said the Deputy Minister of oil industry of the Islamic Republic Roknoddin Javadi, who is also the head of the National oil company of Iran.
To remind, sanctions against Iran imposed in connection with the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic were lifted on January 17 due to the implementation of agreements on Iran’s nuclear program achieved in July 2015 as confirmed by the IAEA experts. The US Secretary of State John Kerry said the lifting of sanctions “shall expand the horizons of opportunities” for the Iranian people. The US President Barack Obama called the lifting of sanctions a historic event.
