Iran has launched a new power plant in the Gulf
Almaty. August 11. Silkroadnews - Iran has launched four new power plant on the island of Greater Tunb in the Persian Gulf, reports Trend.
"These small power plants have a total volume of electricity, producing five megawatts per hour", - said the managing director of the power company of Hormozgan Province, Abdulsaleb Ardzhamand.
A.Ardzhamand added that the cost of the project is 80 billion riyals (about US $2.5 million).
During the last financial year, Iran has reduced the export of electricity by 14 percent, while its imports rose 2 percent.
