Iran has received the last two tranches worth $900 million from the frozen assets of $2.8 billion
Almaty. November 26. IrTAG - Iran has received the last two tranches of $900 million from previously frozen overseas assets of $2.8 billion, informes the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Wednesday.
$ 500 million was transferred to the accounts of the Central Bank of Iran from South Korea and $400 million from India in the form of the oil sales, which have been blocked in overseas bank accounts as a result of international sanctions against Tehran.
However, in the first phase of defrosting, earlier in separate tranches Iran has already received $4.2 billion from the unlocked funds.
As you know, unlocking Iranian money in the amount of $7 billion was made possible after the November last year when the government of Iran and "six" international mediators (the United States, China, Great Britain, Russia, France and Germany) failed to reach an interim agreement on the Iranian nuclear program.
