Iran is concerned about Turkey's decision to conduct military operations in Iraq and Syria

Almaty. October 3. Silkroadnews - Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed concerns about the methods used by the United States and its allies in the fight against militants of the "Islamic state" (IS) in Syria and Iraq, transmimts the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Friday.
This opinion was expressed by the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry during today's telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Kavusoglu. It should be noted that the conversation was initiated by the Iranian side after approval on Thursday morning by Turkish parliament  a government initiative to mainstream the use of units and subunits of the Turkish army in military operations against the militants of IS inside Iraq and Syria.
In particular, Javad Zarif expressed concern about this decision, criticizing the methods used by the United States and its regional allies to counter the militants of the terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria.
The head of Iran's diplomacy has warned against the implementation of measures which he said further complicate the already tense situation in the region. According to him, applied byb American military and their regional allies air strikes on the territory of Syria and Iraq will not be able to help in the eradication of terrorists of IS, but only lead to the complete destruction of the civilian infrastructure of these two states.
Turkish Foreign Minister, in turn, assured his Iranian counterpart that Ankara remains committed to the preservation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the countries in the region and that any military action by Turkish forces will be directed strictly against militants of IS.
