Iran plans to increase imports of Kazakh wheat and 2 million tonnes in the next 2-3 years

Almaty. October 6. Silkroadnews - Islamic Republic of Iran in the next 2-3 marketing years plans to increase import of Kazakh wheat to 2 million tons, reports IrTAG.
As noted, the chairman of the Board of "NMH "KazAgro" Dulat Aytzhanov met with the chairman of the government Trading Corporation of Iran (GTC) Ali Ghanbari and members of the Procurement Committee of the GTC.
"During the meeting, the Kazakh side expressed its interest in developing cooperation with Iran in the field of implementation and transit of Kazakh agricultural products, as well as swap transactions of Grains", - explained in the report.
In turn, the Iranian side expressed interest in increasing the volume of trade in grain and organization of swap transactions, as well as imports of oilseeds and meat.
Government Trading Corporation of Iran (GTC) is an affiliate of the Ministry of Commerce of Iran. The main purpose of GTC is to ensure food security of the country, through the purchase of basic commodities such as wheat, rice, raw sugar, crude oil, milk powder, fertilizer from domestic and foreign manufacturers. These products are distributed between consumers at discounted prices.
