Iran plans to increase the cement production to 120 million tons per year

Almaty. January 16. Silkroadnews - Cement production in Iran is projected to reach 120 million tons per year, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
As stated by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Mohammad Rizo Nematzade currently total cement produced in the country exceeds 80 million tonnes per year, and over the next ten years, this figure is projected to reach 120 million tons.
The Minister noted that last year Iran exported to foreign countries more than 20 million tons of cement, and by the end of this year, Iranian companies intend to maintain the volume of cement exported at the same level.
However, he said that to date, experts from Iran completed the construction in Venezuela a new cement plant with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons, the official opening will take place in the near future with the participation of representatives of the Iranian leadership.
The minister explained that the construction of Iran's cement plants abroad has a long history. Thus, at the time such a plant was built in Syria, and now plans to be build in Iraq and Libya.
