Iran ranks first in the aerospace industry in the Middle East

Almaty. July 4. Silkroadnews –  Iran ranks first in the aerospace industry in the Middle East, the Iranian news agency Mehr reports.

“According to the report published by SCImago journal, Iran is ranked first in the aerospace industry in the Middle East and 11th in the world,” the statement said on Monday.

It is noted that, according to the adviser to Iranian Vice President of Science and Technology Parviz Karami, the data published by SCImago Journal and Country Rank Websites shows an improvement in Iran’s ranking in the aerospace industry as compared to 2014.

“Iran is ranked 11th in the world in 2015, ahead of Spain, Netherlands, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico and Ukraine. Iran is ranked first in the Middle East and 11th in the world by producing 341 articles and with 101 citations in the aerospace industry, though in 2014 the country was on the 14th place behind Spain and the Netherlands,” he said.

With this P.Karami hoped that the scientific research will lead to development in country’s technologies and  development , as well as aerospace and aviation industry in the country.
