Iran’s daily oil output exceeded 4 million barrels

Almaty. July 21. Silkroadnews – Iran continues to increase oil production and has brought it to a level of about 4.1 million barrels a day, Iranian news agency (IrTAG) reports.

“In spring and summer time the country’s crude oil production steadily increased and at this point has reached the level of about 4.1 million barrels a day. Exports now stands at 2.662 million barrels a day. Iran gradually approaches its former positions both in OPEC and the world market”, said Reza Padidar, head of Society of Iranian Petroleum Industries Equipment Manufacturers in his interview with Iranian radio.

According to the Iranian oil ministry, during international economic sanctions period the country’s daily oil output was less than 3 million barrels, with export not exceeding 1 million barrels. As soon as the sanctions were removed at the beginning of this year, Iran has had an opportunity to significantly raise oil production and exports.
