Almaty. July 8. Silkroadnews – Iran’s missiles tests “are not consistent with the constructive spirit” of comprehensive agreement on country’s nuclear program, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in his report, IrTAG writes.

The Secretary General noted the Iranian authorities have stressed the inability to use nuclear charge for these missiles.

“While it is for the Security Council to interpret its own resolutions, I am concerned that those ballistic missile launches are not consistent with the constructive spirit demonstrated by the signing of the (Iran nuclear deal),” he said.

Ban Ki-moon also expressed concern about the seizure of weapons by the United States in the Gulf of Oman in March 2016.

“The United States concluded that the arms had originated in Iran and were likely bound for Yemen. Iran has informed the (U.N.) Secretariat that it never engaged in such delivery,” the UN Secretary General said in his report.
On January 16 the UN, U.S. and EU removed the economic and financial restrictions against Iran, imposed in relation to its nuclear program. The sanctions removal became possible after the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed Tehran fulfilled obligations undertaken according to the joint comprehensive plan of action on the Iranian nuclear program signed on July 14, 2015.
