Iran starte the construction of a new combined cycle power plant with capacity of 1 thousand MW
Almaty. October 13. Silkroadnews - The Ministry of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) is investing 300 million euros in the construction of a new combined cycle power plant, informs the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Monday.
Construction of the new facility began on Saturday in the capital of the northwestern Iranian province of Zanjan - in the city of Zanjan.
The capacity of the new power plant will be 1 thousand MW, and for its construction will be spent around 300 million euros.
Electric power station will be generated using the combined-cycle binary blocks, which differ from conventional steam and gas turbines with increased efficiency nearly doubled.
As noted in the information, to date the total electricity generation in Iran is about 270 thousand GW, which makes the country a leader in this indicator in the Middle East.
