Iran tested ballistic missiles
Almaty. March 9. Silkroadnews - Iran tested several ballistic missiles, despite the Washington warning of such actions inadmissibility, the Russian office of BBC reports.
Reportedly, the launches have been made from silos in several locations across the country.
The official statement by the military forces says such launches demonstrated Iran’s “deterrence power” and its readiness to confront threats.
To remind, in January the US imposed new sanctions on Iranian companies and individuals in response to the ballistic missiles testing in the autumn of 2015. The new sanctions prohibit 11 companies and individuals related to Iran’s missile program using the American banking system.
However, Iran insists the missile tests are not related to its nuclear program.
“The program on the ballistic missiles development was never intended for the development of the nuclear weapon delivery vehicles,” - said the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hussein Jaber Ansari.
