Almaty. July 31. Silkroadnews – Iran threatened to leave a nuclear deal, Iranian news agency Tansim reports.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Tehran will leave the agreement on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in case its costs overweight the benefits, report said on Monday.
He also noted, Iran intends to comply with the JCPOA terms as long as it serves the country’s interests, and as soon as the minuses of the nuclear deal start overweighting its pluses Iran will leave the agreement.
The deputy foreign minister stressed, the US are seeking to enrage Iran to leave the agreement, preventing agreement fulfillment and then accusing Iran of this.
Earlier, following the US senate voting overwhelmingly for the imposition of new sanctions against Iran, Russia and North Korea, he had already stated that the United States had violated articles 26, 28 and 29 of the JCPOA.
To remind, Iran and the P5+1 reached the 159-page nuclear agreement back in July 2015.
The IAEA has repeatedly affirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s compliance with one’s obligations on the agreement, while other parties, the US in particular, have not fulfilled their obligations.
