Iran to sign contracts with Russian oil companies in next six months

Almaty. July 13. Silkroadnews – Iran plans to sign contracts with Russian oil and gas companies in the next six months, Reuters reports.
“Iran expects to sign deals with Russian companies on exploration and development of its oil and gas resources within the next 5-6 months”, Iranian deputy oil minister Amir Hossein Zamaninia said. Earlier, he told about Lukoil and Gazprom expressing interest in oil and gas projects in Iran”, report reads.
In its turn, CNN notes, the Iranian government is negotiating on cooperation in oil projects with 27 foreign companies, with the projects total cost amounting to $200 billion.
As reported, A.H.Zamaninia expressed hope that oil prices will remain at $44 per barrel at least and the situation with oil market oversupply to improve by the end of 2017.
According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu Agency, A. Zamaninia said Iran is open for cooperation in the oil and gas sector with BP and US companies.
Earlier Iran had already signed billion-dollar contracts with France’s Total and China’s CNPC to develop the South Pars field.
