Iran, Turkey and Russia to hold meeting on Syria on December 27

Almaty. December 15. Silkroadnews – Representatives of Russia, Turkey and Iran will hold a trilateral meeting on Syrian settlement in Moscow on December 27, foreign media inform.

“We are making efforts toward ceasefire and launching political talks in Syria. With regards to this, we will hold a trilateral meeting with participation of Turkey, Russia and Iran on December 27 in Moscow”, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told TGRT TV channel.

He also said the ceasefire conditions in eastern Aleppo are being derailed by the Syrian government and some of its allies.

Minister stated that sent for evacuation “buses returned empty, and it is not true that it is the opposition that violates the ceasefire conditions”.

According to him, “Turkey keeps working with all the parties interested in the settlement in Syria, including Russia”, supporting the contacts “at the level of the intelligence agencies” as well.

“We stand for cease-fire, not only in Aleppo but also on the entire territory of Syria, to be followed by the political process to start. We will defend the territorial integrity and independence of Syria”, he also said, having stressed the need to establish in Syria “the secular and democratic government to cover the interests of all the citizens of the country”.
