Iran will assist Lebanon in the fight against terrorism

Almaty. September 30. Silkroadnews - Iran will provide military assistance to Lebanon in order to maintain its efforts to combat terrorism, reports IrTAG.
"This was announced at a meeting of Lebanese Prime Minister Salam Tammama with the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security of Iran Ali Shamhani, who arrived in Beirut on a working visit", - says the publication.
In particular, A.Shamhani said that "Iran has decided to provide assistance to the Lebanese army, which includes military equipment".
According to him, Tehran is extremely interested in strengthening stability and security in Lebanon, and the decision on military aid to Beirut dictated by the desire of the Iranian authorities to facilitate this process against the background of the rise of extremism and violence in the Middle East.
In an interview with reporters after the talks, the head of the Iranian National Security Council stressed that the initiative of the Iranian side was met by the Government of Lebanon with "great enthusiasm".
