Iran will increase gas production to 700 million cubic meters per day in 2016

Almaty. September 14. Silkroadnews - "Adviser to the Minister of Oil of Iran Mahmoud Astaneh said that the country plans to increase to April 2016, total natural gas production to 700 million cubic meters per day. Thus the total natural gas production in Iran will increase by 50 million cubic meters per day",- said the newspaper "Kommersant".
M. Astaneh said that in the next few years it is planned to increase this figure to 1.2 billion cubic meters per day.
"According to forecasts, about half of this amount is intended for domestic consumption. The Minister also noted that gas consumption in Iran this winter should not exceed 550 million cubic meters/day",- indicated in the information.
