Iran will raise oil supplies to Italy up to 65 thousand barrels

Almaty. May 11. Silkroadnews – Iran signed a contract providing for increase in oil supplies to the Italian refinery Saras, Trend wrote.

“The National Iranian Oil Company and Italian refinery Saras signed the contract providing for the delivery of around 65 thousand barrels of Iranian oil per day,” Rokneddin Javadi, deputy oil minister and chief of the state-owned National Iranian Oil Co said.

He emphasized that at present Iran provides refinery with 30-35 thousand barrels of oil per day.
According to R. Javadi, Iran is also in discussions over the oil supplies with the Italian energy giant Eni.
“In case we reach an agreement, it would be possible for Iran to sell to this Italian company around 100 thousand barrels of oil per day,” the Iranian official said.

Iranian oil minister Bijan Zanganeh also confirmed that “in addition to oil sale deal, a $1.5 billion-dollar agreement will be inked with Italy’s Eni for the development of the third phase of Iran’s Darkhovin oil field.”
