Almaty. June 27. Silkroadnews – Iran increased its oil exports three times compared to the sanctions period having signed several short-term contracts with European oil companies Cepsa, Respol and BP, IrTAG writes.

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Spain’s Repsol have signed agreement on supply of 1 million barrels of oil on a monthly basis. This makes the Spanish Repsol the second major buyer of Iranian oil after Cepsa. The new contract, after the agreement with Cepsa signed earlier, doubled the Iranian oil exports volume to Spain.

Furthermore, NIOC has also reached an agreement with the British BP on the export of 1 million barrels of oil per month.

“Overall, given the signing of three contracts to sell oil to Cepsa and Repsol of Spain and well as BP, the volume of Iran’s crude exports has tripled as compared with the figure during sanction years,” the statement says.
