Iranian Free Trade Zone Chabahar will start operation within a month

Almaty. November 7. Silkroadnews – Iranian Free Trade Zone Chabahar Iran (Chabahar Free Zone) will start working within a month, IrTAG writes.
According to Hassan Mohammadi Moein, Chabahar Free Zone’s deputy manager for transportation, the first phase of the construction zone is 95% realized. After the full completion the port transit capacity will raise from 2 million to 8.5 million tonnes per year.
The port currently has ready piers Panamax and Neopanamax for vessels unloading. The last phase of the port is expected to be completed in 2020, when all 22 piers with a discharge capacity of 86 million tonnes per year are put into operation.
