Iranian investors will finance the construction of a meat processing plant in Kazakhstan
Almaty. March 6. Silkroadnews - Private investors from Iran will build in Semey (Kazakhstan), plant for deep, waste-free processing of meat, reports KazTAG.
"For the construction of production facilities in the industrial zone "Ondіrіs" Semey allocated land with area of 68 hectares. Work on the construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of this year, after passing the examination of construction documents. With the commissioning of the plant, here will be processed more than 52 thousand tons of meat of sheep and cattle, up to 7 thousand tons of canned meat and sausage products per year", - said Deputy Director of "Agro Portal" LLP Ali Zhylkybaev on Thursday.
"The cost of the project is $52 million. Investments will be fully provided by Iranian sidie. Frorm the local authorities we need only help in the allocation of land and summarizing the necessary infrastructure. The project will be tied to local conditions", - added Zhylkybaev.
At the same time, he noted that Iranian investors also intend to do in the region forage production, cultivation of grain, build in Zharma and Ulan district elevator and dairy complex.
"If all this is done, the cost of the project for the construction of a meat processing plant will increase by $45 million", - said Zhylkybaev.
Supply of raw materials to the company, he said, will be performed from East Kazakhstan and neighboring regions of the Russian Federation.
The output of the enterprise at full capacity is planned in 2017.
