Iranian sailors repelled pirate attack on Chinese vessel

Almaty. September 18. Silkroadnews - Naval forces of Iran have prevented another attempt by pirates to capture a civilian vessel in international waters, transmits the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG) on Thursday.
According to the department of public relations of Iran Navy armed pirates in five speedboats tried to attack the Chinese container Xin Lian Yun Gang with a view to his capture in the Gulf of Aden on the eve of the morning. After receiving the signal for help from the Chinese vessel, to the area was sent to patrol frigate 31 Squadron of the Iranian Navy, which successfully prevented the seizure of the container, causing the pirates to retreat.
According to the report, the container was holding the course from Singapore to Jeddah port on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. After the incident, the vessel safely continued his way.
It should be noted that in recent years the Iranian Navy is stepping up its presence in international waters to ensure the safety of the civil courts. Due to this, Iranian warships patrol the Gulf of Aden waters from November 2008.
