Iranian security services detained about 130 suspected terrorists during special operations

Almaty. October 8. Silkroadnews - Iranian security services detained about 130 suspected terrorists, reports the Iranian News Agency (IrTAG).
"At least 130 members of extremist groups were detained in Iran in the course of large-scale anti-terrorist operations", - said the Minister of Intelligence Service of Iran Mahmoud Alavi.
According to the minister, prospective participants of takfirist groups were detained as a result of dozens operations by the security forces of Iran to identify cells of extremists carrying out their subversive activities in the territory of the Islamic Republic.
M.Alavi reported that Iranian security forces also failed to prevent two major terrorist attack that extremists planned to make in the administrative centers of the two provinces of Iran during the celebration of the country's international day of al-Quds (Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation) and on the eve of Kurban- Ait.
The minister said that members of extremist organizations are most active in the eastern and western regions of Iran, but through the establishment of close cooperation between the forces of national security and military security of the country the situation is fully under the control of relevant structures.
