Iranian specialists will build two hydropower plants in Azerbaijan

Tehran. July 4. Silkroadnews - Iranian experts will soon begin the construction of two hydroelectric power plants on the territory of Azerbaijan, transmits IrTAG.
Agreement between the two countries was approved earlier this week by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and now both sides should proceed with its implementation.
The document envisages the construction of the first hydroelectric plant (Ordubad) on the Aras River in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic and secont plant (Mazra) in the adjacent territory of Azerbaijan and Iran. It is worth noting that the design capacity of these plants will 35 and 45 MW, respectively.
As recalled the agency, the agreement was signed between the Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Iranian  Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchiyan, during the recent visit of President of Azerbaijan to Iran.
