Beijing. March 1. Silkroadnews - Israel’s Defense Ministry seemed to dispute the accuracy of a new report on an Iranian military base built 8 kilometers north of Damascus, the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
To remind, on February 28 Fox News cited data by Israel-based company ImageSat on satellite images of a group of structures, allegedly, identified as a new Iranian base in Syria.
The objects pictured are similar to those seen at another Iranian base. Reportedly, there are hangars for medium and short-range missiles, and the object is being guarded by IRGC troops.
“Don’t take every report in the media, even from a respected outlet like Fox, as an absolute thing. We have the full picture of what’s going on,” the defense minister said in an interview with Israel Radio.
With this BBC reported that, most likely, the facilities in case have been intended for soldiers and vehicles rather than for rockets.
