Israeli Minister of Agriculture will visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent. June 20. Silkroadnews - Minister of Agriculture of Israel Yair Shamir will visit Uzbekistan from June 26-30, said Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG).
As reported the Israeli embassy, the delegation included a group of businessmen who specialize in the field of agriculture, modern technologies of irrigation and water management.
During the visit of the Israeli side is planned to organize a seminar on modern technology for small, medium-sized businesses and farms.
The seminar will be presented by Israeli companies working in various fields of agriculture, such as greenhouses, drip irrigation, poultry, fruit and vegetable processing and dairy industry and seed.
As recalled by the agency, today for irrigation in Israel it's used about 1.2 billion cubic meters of water per year, of which two thirds is covered by natural sources and third - through the use of brackish groundwater and treated water.
Over the past 30 years, the volume of agricultural production in Israel increased by more than 5 times, and water flow rate remained the same level - through the use of new irrigation technologies.
