Issyk-Kul opens its summer season
Almaty. June 9. Silkroadnews – Issyk-Kul opens its summer season, as KyrTAG reports. Kyrgyz PM Jomart Otorbayev reportedly took part in the Official Ceremony to open summer season 2014.
“Lake Issyk-Kul is a locomotive of tourism industry in Kyrgyzstan. Around 3 mln tourists come to Kyrgyzstan annually. 2 mln of them come to Lake Issyk Kil. If we are to receive at least 1% in profit tax, around USD 10 mln are to be contributed to the local budget”, Otorbayev is quoted as saying.
Otorbayev reminded that the last summer season has been sabotaged due to the uprisings in Saruu Jeti-Oguz District.
“Last Summer season did not turn out to be nice, as the local situation was unstable. We ought to take all the necessary measures to provide pleasurable experience for tourists”, the PM said.
