Italy to invest $800 million in the construction of a refinery in Iran
Almaty. November. Silkroadnews – Iran and Italy signed an agreement on construction of gas condensate refinery in Iran, IrTAG writes.
According to Gholamreza Soleimani, the managing director of Ghadir Investment Company, Italian Saipem and Maire Tecnimont signed a preliminary agreement with the Ghadir Group saying the Italians will finance 85% of the Pars gas condensate refinery project in Iran.
“The final contract estimated at about 750 million euro ($809 million) will be signed in the near future”, G. Soleimani said.
Located in the city of Shiraz, the plant will have a daily processing capacity of 120 thousand barrels of gas condensate.
There are 9 refineries operating in Iran at present.
