Japan allocated $3 million to modernize the airport and $19 million for energy supply infrastructure improvement in Tajikistan
Almaty. March 10. Silkroadnews – Ambassador of Japan in Tajikistan Hajime Kitaoka and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov signed a number of documents on infrastructure projects in Dushanbe, Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reported.
“Japan has allocated over $3 million to improve the airport infrastructure and $19 million to improve productivity and sustainability of energy supply in Dushanbe”, the report said.
The terminal of the Dushanbe airport will be equipped with new equipment, including instrument runway system.
The government of Japan also contributed to the project on “Strengthening National Family Planning”, having allocated $1.7 million out of the total $2.7 million project cost.
