Japan handed over to Afghanistan road equipment for $ 32 million

Almaty. July 2. Silkroadnews - The Embassy of Japan announces the transfer of 106 pieces of equipment for the maintenance and repair of roads to the government of Afghanistan, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"Equipment worth more than $32 million will be distributed among 25 provinces of the country.
The list includes all-terrain vehicles, snow removal equipment and other specialized vehicles",- says the publication.
It is noted that the technique is passed under the "Project to improve service and repair of roads in Afghanistan". A ceremony of transference was held with the participation of Minister of Public Works of IRA Mahmoud Baliha and Japanese Ambassador to Afghanistan Hiroshi Takahashi.
The ambassador expressed hope that the new equipment will help the successful functioning of the transport system in Afghanistan that, in turn, will contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
