Almaty. August 19. Silkroadnews - Japan intends to conclude an agreement on investment cooperation with Iran after the lifting of sanctions against the country, reported TASS referring to the Japanese business newspaper "Nikkei".
To prepare for full-fledged negotiations at the working level between representatives of the two countries held bilateral meetings.
It is reported that Japan intends to develop cooperation in the field of energy, including increasing the supply of oil from Iran at least twice. Before the introduction of sanctions against Tehran, it accounted for 10% of total oil supplies to Japan, and by 2014 this figure had fallen to 5%.
Moreover, Japanese automakers are also interested in the Iranian market. So, Nissan Motors is negotiating with suppliers of components on the possibility of assembly in Iran and the Iranian vice president, head of the National Environmental Protection Masume Ebtekar previously called for Japanese manufacturers of hybrid cars and electric vehicles to develop production in Iran, which opens the possibility of exporting to the Middle East and African markets.
