JSC “Uzbektelecom” raises tariffs for international telephone calls 70%

Beijing. January 18. Silkroadnews - From February 1, 2018, Uzbektelecom raises tariffs for international telephony and communication by 30% and 70% respectively, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (UzTAG) reports with reference to the company’s press service.
Thus, according to the operator, the tariff for fixed network telephone use with timely payment raises from 2350 to 3500 som (in rural areas - from 1035 to 1400), with the subscriber flat-rate service - from 3,090 som to 4,100 (in rural areas - from 1,520 to 2,000 som).
In turn, the cost of a minute of conversation with subscribers from Central Asian countries will grow from 500 to 850 som, from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - from 550 to 935 som, from European countries - from 1140 to 1940 som.
Analysis of tariffs for fixed-line telecommunications services across the CIS countries shows the national operators’ prices range from $0.12 to $1.24: in Russia - from $0.29 to $0.5, in Kazakhstan - from $0.11 to $0.37, in Kyrgyzstan - from $0.12 to $0.43, in Turkmenistan - from $0.82 to $1.24, in Ukraine - from $0.25 to $1.2, in Moldova - $0.32, in Belarus - from $0.20 to $0.25, the report by “Uzbektelecom” says.
