Kabul hosts Afghan-Iranian engineering exhibition
Almaty. July 19. Silkroadnews – The capital of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan hosted a joint Iranian- Afghan machinery exhibition with participation of 35 Iranian and 10 Afghan engineering companies, AfTAG reports.
According to Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Valiollah Afkhami Rad, his country had made significant progress in the machinery engineering and has turned into an exporter of production lines. Iranian experts and businessmen will be glad to cooperate and exchange experience with their Afghan counterparts.
The exhibition participants create automated machinery lines for food (bread, chocolate, dairy products and cake factories), packaging, stone-cutting and wood processing, plastic injection industries.
Last April Afghanistan and Iran signed an agreement on cooperation in a number of areas. At present two countries also work to boost the Afghan agricultural exports via trade port Chobahor.
It shall be also noted that about half of the country’s population – Tajiks and Hazaras – are Persian-speaking.
