Karimov won the presidential elections in Uzbekistan, gaining 90.39%
Almaty. March 30. Silkroadnews - Incumbent President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, according to preliminary data, won the presidential elections with a score of 90.39% (17,2 million votes), reported the head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalomov.
According to the CEC head, the other three candidates scored each about 3% of the votes.
Message on the election results will be published in print by CEC no later than ten days after the election. Then, within two months, the newly elected president must take office and take an oath in the parliament.
