Almaty. July 10. Silkroadnews - "The Kazakh businessman Alidzhan Ibragimov with a 40% stake became a partner for "Russian Platinum" Musa Bazhaev who owns a license to develop Jeruy gold field in Kyrgyzstan", - says the publication.
The previous holder of the license was a "daughter" of Kazakh Visor Holding, company named Consolidated Exploration, which in 2013 filed a lawsuit in the Hague arbitration to recover from the Kyrgyz government a penalty of $400 million (later the amount increased to $548 million) for the fact that in 2010 Kyrgyz government annulled the license of the company on development of Jeruy. Meanwhile, the publication noted that A. Ibragimov received a share in the field Jeruy in exchange for the lifting of all charges against Kyrgyz government that Visor Holding and its subsidiaries previously charged.
A. Ibragimov has a 20% holding in the mining ERG (earlier listed as ENRC at the London Stock Exchange).
