Kazakh-Chinese joint venture for the production server hardware is to be built in Astana

Astana. November 20. Silkroadnews - Kazakh-Chinese joint venture (JV) for the production of server hardware will be built in Astana, informs KazTAG referring to the president of Kazakhstan Association of Software Companies Azamathan Amirtaev.
"This is a very expensive project, valued at approximately $200 million. These funds will be invested gradually, the initial investment will be $1 million. This will be a joint venture company. We think that in 5 years we will run the plant",- he added.
According to A. Amirtaev today global IT-company use Kazakh market only for sales.
Chapter Association informed that Kazakhstan IT-market is currently estimated at $1.6 billion.
As explained by A. Amirtaev plant in Astana will produce server hardware, apply cloud technology and create a data center.
In turn, the representative of China Inspur corp in Kazakhstan Sayan Amanbaev added that the decision to select a partner to build a plant in Astana will be made within 2 years. He cited the experience of building a factory in Venezuela, which now produce servers, laptops and smartphones.
