Kazakh Parliament approves law on creation of common air defence system for Russia and Kazakhstan

Astana. April 23. Silkroadnews - The lower chamber of Kazakh Parliament has approved the draft law "On ratification of agreement between Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation on creation of common regional system of RK and RF air defence. The subsequent agreement was signed on the 30th of January 2013. The common regional air defence system of Russia and Kazakhstan was created to tackle the issues of Regional air defence. This system is a part of a larger CIS air defence system.
Common regional air defence forces are to be managed by the commander, who is appointed by the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan upon the recommendation of their Ministers of Defence.
In times of military threats or war times, the parties reserve their right to use their forces as stipulated by national legislations.
