Kazakh Parliament approves law on creation of joint air defence system with Russia

Astana. May 15. Silkroadnews – Upper Chamber of Kazakh Parliament approved the draft law “On Ratification of Agreement between Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation on Creation of Joint Regional Air Defence System of RK and RF” at the plenary session today.
Thus, the document is now seen as approved. It has been forwarded to President to sign.
According to the Upper Chamber’s Committee on international relations, defence and security, the joint regional air defence system of Russia and Kazakhstan is being created as a part of joint CIS member-countries air defence system.
The parties to the agreement reserve its rights to utilise their military forces and resources in the ways that fit their national legislation, once the military threat emerges or war times come.
