Kazakhstan and Canada to create Business Council for partnership in trade and economy

Astana. June 12. Silkroadnews – Kazakh Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Ashikbayev met Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and the Minister of State (Foreign Affairs and Consular) Lynne Yelich during his official visit to Canada, as Kazakh MFA informs.
“The parties expressed their willingness to instigate a regular dialogue between various Foreign Affairs departments of Kazakhstan and Canada at the level of Deputy Ministers. They also look to create Business Council for partnership in trade and economy”, the message states.
Deputy Minister Ashikbayev has also filed an application to serve as a non-permanent UN Security Council member in 2017-2018.
Moreover, Minister Ashikbayev has reportedly met with Canadian Minister of Immigration Chris Alexander. They touched upon the issue of visa process liberalisation.
